The Parish Post – May 22 – The Village Clean Up

Nick & Deb Clarke, Vicki Gould and her husband David, Di and her friend, Jane who doesn’t even live in the village, have cleared, and tidied the pavements and roads around the pub, coffee shop and the church for most of the day today. Gail from the Red Lion provided them with refreshments, and they have decorated the area with bunting and Gail and Deanne Bell have put up flags designed by the children at the school. At the latest Parish Council meeting we had a visit from our County Councillor. Councillor Jessel reported that one of the County Councils highest priorities was highways maintenance and that £15million had been dedicated to improvements.
