It is with sadness that we share the news of the death of Mrs Jean Austin, a long-standing and much-loved former resident of Newborough, who passed away on 12 September at the age of 101.

I am aware and sorry to hear of the latest road traffic collision at Barton Gate/Little India junction on Saturday night. Over the last 6 months I have been discussing with SCC at length the previous RTCs and requested meaningful changes at this junction. There is a new Give Way sign at the end of Forest Road that may not be on certain pictures. Di has been a wonderful, proactive and dedicated councillor whose contribution to our community has been truly invaluable.
