It is with mixed emotions that we announce the resignation of Cllr Di Bell from Newborough Parish Council.

Di has been a wonderful, proactive and dedicated councillor whose contribution to our community has been truly invaluable. Over the years, she has been instrumental in so many initiatives and events, not least our much-loved Well Dressing and May Day celebrations. Her enthusiasm, positivity and ability to see what is possible have inspired both fellow councillors and residents alike.

While we are sorry to see Di step down from the Council, we are delighted that she is doing so to finally enjoy a well-deserved rest after giving so much of her time and energy to Newborough. We very much hope that she will continue to be involved in the community events she has helped shape over the years as they simply would not be the same without her.

Di leaves some very big shoes to fill, and she will be greatly missed around the council table. We thank her sincerely for her dedication, hard work and unwavering community spirit, and we wish her every happiness in this next chapter. As a result of Di’s resignation, Newborough Parish Council now has a councillor vacancy.
