Christmas Lights Switch On – Friday 29th November
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who helped make the Newborough Parish Council’s annual lights switch-on such a wonderful success! The evening began with a lively quiz in the church, hosted by Reverend Terry, with special guests Santa and his cheerful elf. Festive fun continued with joyful singing, magical snow, and plenty of seasonal cheer, including drinks at the bar and delicious treats from the café.
The highlight of the evening was, of course, the stunning lights switch-on, bringing a glow of festive spirit to the village. A special thanks goes to Reverend Terry, Sue and Brian Beck, the teachers and students of Needwood Primary School, and the team at the Old Bakers Cottage Café. We’re also incredibly grateful to all the volunteers who contributed to the village clean-up and those who make Newborough shine so beautifully year-round.
We’re delighted to share that the event raised an impressive £291 for All Saints Church. Here’s to more community celebrations as we head into 2025! Thank you again for your incredible support.
