The Red Lion Pub – Decision to sell.
The parish council has been informed by the solicitors at East Staffs Borough Council that owner has decided to sell The Red Lion Pub. This has triggered a 6-week moratorium period ending on the 17th of April 2024 in which a community interest group may make a written request to be treated as a potential bidder. If there is such a request a 6-month moratorium period will follow when the owner may negotiate sales but may not exchange contracts. However, the owner can sell the asset to a community interest group during this period.
The parish council have subsequently requested details of the sale of the property, and we have been told that this will be with us at the beginning of the week.
